In Memoriam ~ Linda Miller, wife of Gene Miller ’71

Linda Miller, wife of Gene Miller ’71

Friday morning Linda went to walk with the Lord and be in her Heavenly Home for Eternity.

We will be celebrating her life on Thursday September 13th from 4 pm-8 pm. Funeral celebration will be Friday at 10:00 am. Lunch will follow at the Padua Pub. Both celebrations will be at the River of Life Church in Sauk Centre.

She inspired all with her faith in the Lord and 9 year fight with Stage 4 breast cancer. She lived her life feeling blessed and giving God the glory for it. Linda was a fashionista and gave new meaning to the words “Shop till you drop!” As she concluded “You can never have too many shoes!” Or clothes, or purses, or jewelry.”

She was an accomplished decorator & gardener, and used her talents to decorate many weddings, our church, the Lake Geneva Garden, Coffee & Cullen’s Home Center. Her home and yard were picture perfect. Her yard was used as the backdrop for many graduation, family & wedding pictures.

Linda said being blessed by cancer taught her: “That stuff was just that…stuff. Grab onto what is important. Our family and friends, but most importantly, our relationship with the Lord. Eternity is a long time!” Until We All Meet Again!

She will be incredibly missed by her husband: Gene
6 boys: Shawn (Angie), Ryan (Kristi), Josh (Laura), Doug (Lisa), Eric (Sara), Kurt (Courtney)
Mother: Verda Qualey ,Sister: Janelle Newman (Matt)
2 Brothers: John Qualey (LeeAnn), Mark Qualey (Katie)
13 Grandchildren: Brady, Shelby, Raegan, Paige, Savannah, Keaton, Addy, Oliver, Easton, Owen, Oscar, Lauren and Violet

We would like to thank all who supported us during this difficult time; especially to our Pastors Kyle, Corey & Micah. Your prayers, sermons and counsel reminded us that Jesus Christ is the cornerstone we have to stand on. To all the excellent doctors and nurses at the Coborn’s Cancer Center, the wonderful caregivers from CentraCare Hospice, Ivy’s foundation, Cullen’s Home Center family, our River of Life Church family, Pat & Terry Crider, Bob & Cele Gamradt and Sue Nielsen at the coffee bar. To our decorators Teri Trattles, Sher Tepfer & Kathi Molitor. All our friends & family too numerous to mention. Your cards, letters, kind words, prayers, food and help were overwhelming and a true blessing. God bless you all!
