In Memoriam ~ Alvin Leo “Al” Valerius ’33 Posted on August 23, 2016 in Obituaries Alvin Leo “Al” Valerius (PREP 1933), of St. Paul on August 16, 2016, just 53 days shy of his 102 birthday. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy; and his grandson, Matthew; and 10 siblings. Survived by his daughter, Judith; son, John (Molly); grandchildren, Andrew (Raechel), Megan; 4 great-granddaughters; and other loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Al worked for Farmers Union Central Exchange (Cenex) for over 4 decades. Mass of Christian Burial 3 pm Wednesday, August 24 at the ROSEVILLE MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 2245 Hamline Ave N., 651-631-2727, visitation beginning at 2 pm. A special thank you to the staff and aides at Langton Place in Roseville for the care they provided Alvin. Private family interment St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Osseo. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to “Can Do Canines”.
