Sarah Pasela is the upper school biology instructor for Saint John’s Prep.

Ms. Pasela was born in Little Falls Minnesota, but grew up in West Africa. She returned to Little Falls, Minnesota for high school and graduated from the College of Saint Benedict with a BA in Biology and English Literature. After her undergraduate education, she joined the Peace Corps, serving as an aquaculture extension agent, teaching rural farmers in Zambia, how to keep fish and increase protein intake.  She earned two Master of Sciences degrees from Ohio University, one in Education, and one in International Affairs. Ms. Pasela taught at Apollo High School in Saint Cloud, Minnesota for eight years before she joined Saint John’s Prep in 2016.

Ms. Pasela loves to garden, read, scuba dive, and travel.  Her goal as a teacher is to inspire life-long learning. She hopes to create a place where all identities feel welcome and are able to develop as complete humans.  She loves Saint John’s Preparatory School because of the beautiful natural setting and the connections she gets to make with her colleagues and students.
