Rita T. Berg ’04

St. Joseph, Minnesota – Rita age 31 of St. Joseph, passed away on March 8, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. John’s Abbey Church, Collegeville, at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018, with reception following. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.

Rita is survived by her loving parents, Melvin and Theresa, her sister, Jennifer, her brother, Daniel and many loving relatives.

Rita was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Rita has been a strong advocate for women’s rights, especially regarding helping women lawyers be true to themselves. Rita wanted everyone to love themselves and others. She had a deep sense of caring and compassion, which shined a light on all those who knew her.

Rita had attended St. John’s Prep school and also graduated with honors from St. Thomas University, where she earned her law degree. Rita set up her own law practice and worked as a joyful defense attorney. She was an avid reader and a very good author. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
