Kids entering grades 5-8 have fun making new friends, getting plenty of fresh air and experiencing the beautiful 2,900 acre campus of Saint John’s Prep and Saint John’s University. Participants will enjoy adventure and age-appropriate discovery activities, guided by academic themes of arts, sciences, and cultural exploration. Since 2002, we’ve been offering kids ages 9 and up the chance to explore stilt walking, trapeze, acrobatics, clowning, juggling, tightwire walking, pantomime, physical theater, circus history, and more! Our approach to promoting confidence and cooperation is action-based: we emphasize focused development of circus skills while having fun together. Whether the skill at hand is balance, coordination, strength, flexibility, or creative expression, students gain self-esteem, learn valuable lessons about teamwork and tolerance, and develop their physical and mental agility. The Middle School Girls Basketball Camp is for girls wanting to have fun while learning more about basketball and the skills needed to play. We will introduce the game of basketball while teaching the basic skills of the sport and teamwork.
