Class of 2020 Top Ten Students Posted on May 29, 2020 in Press Releases, Student News, Uncategorized Saint John’s Preparatory School Announces Top Ten 2020 Graduates Saint John’s Preparatory School in Collegeville will hold its 163nd commencement on June 19, 2019 with a virtual ceremony. A parade for graduates is planned through campus later that evening. Seniors selected Thomas Grandy, a Saint John’s Prep Mathematics and Theology instructor, to deliver the commencement address. Senior Carlos Borgert will give the senior address. The 2020 Top Ten Seniors for Saint John’s Preparatory School in alphabetical order are: Caspar Cheng of Ma Wan, Hong Kong is the son of Man Shun Mansion Cheng and Nhu Thuy Le. Caspar will attend the University of California in Berkeley, California. Caspar also earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Miranda Puerta Curnutt of Saint Cloud is the daughter of Jordan Curnutt and Rosemarie Puerta Curnutt. Miranda will attend the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. Miranda also earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Yixuan “Emily” Huang of San Jose, California is the daughter of Xinyue Huang and Nan Xia. Emily will attend the University of California in Berkeley, California. Xiangbin “Jerry” Jin of Shanghai, China is the son of Yi Jin and Zhuo Zhang. He will attend New York University in New York City, New York. Claire Kissela of Saint Joseph is the daughter of Chad Kissela and Marcia Allard. She will attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Shuchen “James” Liu of Shanghai, China is the son of Wei Liu and Juan Cai. He will attend New York University in New York City, New York. Samantha “Sam” Mortenson of Saint Cloud is the daughter of Rebecca Dillingham. Sam will attend Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Sam also earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Samantha “Sami” Severnak of Sauk Rapids is the daughter of Todd Severnak and Lisa Severnak.
