Saint John’s Prep offers a spirited array of varsity and intramural sports. Our programs are inclusive with a strong emphasis on teamwork. Our sports teams give Prep students the opportunity to grow interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Convocation Saint John’s Abbey Church 9:00am
Saint John’s Prep will launch our 167th school year on August 23, 2023. The year will begin with the annual convocation ceremony at 8:30am in the Saint John’s Abbey Church. The program includes a march of flags, blessings, words of wisdom and inspirational messages. Speakers will include Saint John’s Abbey Abbot and Saint John’s Prep Chancellor John Klassen, OSB ’67, Principal Dr. Christine Glomski, Head of School Jon McGee and Student Council President Patrick Duffy ’24. Parents, siblings and grandparents are welcome to attend this very special event!
More than 285 students from 15 countries, three states, and 25 different Minnesota communities will be on campus this fall. We’re currently enrolling students for the 2023-24 academic year, and our Saint John’s Prep Admission team members are available to connect with you via phone or Zoom to answer questions and offer you a tour of our Middle School, Upper School, residence halls, and our gorgeous campus.

A Discovery Day at Saint John’s Prep is a great way for students in grades 5-11 to experience our co-ed school. You are invited to spend the day on campus with a current student and attend our innovative classes, meet our teachers, and be immersed in our community.

Join us for a special night just for parents on April 12 hosted with Sarah Pasela, science faculty member at Saint John’s Prep! Bring a friend and explore the joy of herb gardening! Sarah will share her passion for planting herbs in different ways so they are accessible all year long. She will also share her recipe for homemade ginger lemonade with fresh basil (yum!) for you to taste and make at home.

Grand Tour of Nations is a party for parents, grandparents, alumni and friends to come together and support Saint John’s Prep. Proceeds from Grand Tour provide vital funding for student scholarships and programs. This fundraiser will be held on April 27, 2024 at the Gorecki Center on the campus of the College of Saint Benedict. We are excited to host a spectacular event with a delicious dinner, silent auction, live auction and giving moment. We’ll host the raffle live during our Grand Tour of Nations program on April 27, 2024 at the Gorecki Center on the campus of the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, MN. Tickets are $100 each and only 350 will be sold. (Only 350 tickets will be sold at $100/ticket. Prizes include a $10,000, $2,500, $1,000, & $500. ESPORTS SUMMER CAMP League of Legends Esports Session Dates: July 8 – 11, 2024 Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm Cost: $300
Join our Saint John’s Prep League of Legends team to learn how to improve your skills individually and work with a team! Learn to boost your overall game sense and ability as a player. Teamwork is an essential component of each game, and campers will learn how to become effective teammates and leaders. In addition, teamwork can sometimes determine a win or a loss in Esports.
Esports campers learn through hands-on exercises from our head coach, Mr. Miller, and his team of skilled assistant coaches. Over the session, students will work on the game’s basic mechanics and learn from Esports experts. Players must be 13 by July 8, 2024, or have parental permission. These sessions are geared toward two levels of experience : 1) brand new – intermediate and 2) Greatly Experienced.
