Joseph L. Judge ’54

Joseph L. Judge, age 83 of Champlin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, July 17, 2020 at home.

In addition to his parents, Francis and Katherine (Moore) Judge, Joe was preceded in death by his son, Patrick; granddaughter, Afton Zirngible; sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Bernard “Bud” Brey; brother-in-law, John Weideman.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Peggy; children, Michelle (James) Zirngible, Ann Judge, John (Rebecca), and Timothy; grandchildren, Ryan and Shane Judge, Logan Zirngible, Stephen and Matthew Paynovich, Rececca (Jacob) McClain, Kyle and Daniel Judge; sisters, Mary Judge, Patricia Weideman, and Catherine Judge; brothers, Thomas (Maria), Michael (Theresa), and Steve (Le); also many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A public visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay Street, Andover.  Due to health and safety concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of St. Paul, Ham Lake.  Private Interment with Full Military Honors will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.  Joe’s Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on Tuesday (7/28/2020) at 11 AM.  Please visit this link to view:  https://www.facebook.com/churchofsaintpaulhamlake/
