In Memoriam~Susan Helen Koch Posted on July 14, 2024 in Alumni News, Obituaries Susan Helen Koch January 29, 1949 – June 14, 2024 Wife to Ronald Koch ’71 Sue was born in Washington DC to Richard W. and Joyce E. Smith. She lived in Binghamton, NY during her early years and eventually moved to the Northern Virginia area. She loved all types of sports and watched golf, football, and the Olympics faithfully. She was an avid bowler and was on numerous bowling teams in the area, as well as participating in many local and Virginia State Women’s tournaments. She loved the company of her family the most, and travelied with them on many occasions to vacation at Disney World, Hershey, and Virginia Beach which was her favorite spot. She leaves behind her loving husband and partner of 38 years, Ron; Daughter Tammy Sue Hegner and Granddaughters Jordan and Kylie of Ashburn, VA; Son Christopher (Katie) and Grandsons Jay and Thomas of Athens Alabama; Son Anthony of Minneapolis, MN; and Daughter Tiffany (Tom Stevens) of Clinton, MD. In lieu of flowers, she requested that a donation be made in her name (Susan Helen Koch) to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
