Limei Danzeisen

Limei Danzeisen teaches Chinese Level 1-5 at Saint John’s Prep. You can often hear her classes singing songs and celebrating Asian holidays while they learn about Chinese culture and the language.

In the next few weeks, her students will begin preparing for celebrating Asian New Year. Festivities include decorating the classroom and hallway, making dumplings and playing traditional new year’s games.

Before moving to Central Minnesota, Ms. Danzeisen grew up in China and attended Shandong Normal University majoring in English Language and Literature. After teaching at a university in China for years, she moved to the United States for more education, and went to Minnesota State University, Mankato, for her master’s degree in TESL.

“I really enjoy teaching Chinese language and culture at Saint John’s Prep. We have the most impressive students in our class, and all the colleagues are amazing,” she says. “They are professional, passionate, and always reach out to help if needed. I am proud to be part of this wonderful community.”

Besides teaching, she enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, gardening, exercising, and hanging out with friends.
