Virginia E. Reichert, age 89, of St. Cloud, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018, surrounded by the love, prayers, and comfort of her family. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 15 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 9:30am to 11:00am at the church prior to Mass. Entombment will take place at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum, St. Cloud.

Virginia was born on March 26, 1928 in St. Cloud, to Raymond and Helen (Janski) Delaria. She graduated from Cathedral High School and later from the St. Cloud School of Nursing. Virginia worked as a nurse at the St. Cloud Hospital, and as head nurse at both the Richmond hospital and Saint Andrew’s hospital in Minneapolis.

She married Thomas G. Reichert on June 7, 1952.

Virginia had many joys in life, including hiking the mountains of the west, white water rafting, birdwatching, enjoying the beauty of her garden flowers, playing cards and puzzles, and sharing conversations with friends and family. She was a loving mother, proud grandmother, and adoring great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all she leaves behind.

Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Reichert of St. Cloud, sons Tom (Anita) Reichert of Richmond, Mark (Ruth) Reichert of Sartell, Paul (Curt Rock) Reichert of Orlando, Florida, David (Tracy) Reichert of Bemidji, her 8 grandchildren and her 9 great-granddaughters.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Audrey Koop and Marlene Olsen, and her brother Fred Delaria. Memorials are preferred to Catholic Charities of St. Cloud.
