Prep Classic at Madden’s on Gull Lake 2018 Posted on August 23, 2018 in Alumni News, Press Releases Prep Classic at Madden’s on Gull Lake Joe Vaughan, Paul Hanowski, Bill Eichoff and Jim Meyer We are grateful to the 84 golfers who joined us for the Prep Classic at Madden’s on Gull Lake on Sunday, August 19! This fun day of golf supports Saint John’s Prep on the stunning Classic Course at Madden’s on Gull Lake. Congratulations to Joe Vaughan, Paul Hanowski, Jim Meyer and Bill Eichoff for winning first place in the tournament with a score of 58. They tied with another team and the golf professionals had to go to a scorecard playoff to determine the winner. This is the second year for this foursome to win! The second place team was Kris Oftedahl, Ken Shaan, Tony Kienitz and Trent Wilcox. They also had a score of 58, but lost in the scorecard playoff. The winners of the individual categories include: Women’s Longest Drive: Hole #8 Gretchen Agee Longest Putt: Hole #9 Steve Zimmerman Closest to the Pin: Hole #12 Kris Oftedahl (4.5′) Men’s Longest Drive: Hole #13 Sev Koop Special thanks to Madden’s proprietors, Brian ’68 and Deb Thuringer, for their continued dedication and support of this important fundraiser for Saint John’s Prep.
