Saint John’s Prep Ties for 4th Place in Physics Bowl

Saint John’s Prep tied for fourth in the 2017 Physics Bowl exam. Physics Bowl is a 40-question, 45-minute timed, multiple-choice test hosted by the American Association of Physics Teachers and taken by approximately 10,000 of the best physics students worldwide.

There are 14 geographical regions worldwide for the Physics Bowl competition. Saint John’s Prep is in Region 14, which includes Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. It also includes the countries of Ireland, South Korea, Kuwait, the United Kingdom and the Philippines.

Nathan Broman ’17

The members of this year’s team are Nathan Broman ’17 , Toto Chen ’18, Matt Ham ’18, Zander Haws ’18, and Andrew Heroux ’17.

Nathan Broman ’17 is this year’s top scorer on the Saint John’s Prep team. He is the son of Evelyn Erickson and Bruce Broman of St. Cloud.  Nathan is the brother of Amelia Broman ’17. This fall he will attend Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
