Every student takes part in our Fine Arts Program at Saint John’s Prep. Our well-rounded curriculum supports the development of appreciation and passion for fine arts that will last a lifetime.
Saint John’s Prep offers a spirited array of varsity and intramural sports. Our programs are inclusive with a strong emphasis on teamwork. Our sports teams give Prep students the opportunity to grow interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Maureen O’Connell is an art teacher and part of the middle school team. She is a proud 1998 Saint John’s Prep graduate who is very happy to be back on campus. Ms. O’Connell received her degree in Secondary Art Education from the University of Idaho. She taught art to 6th-12th graders in Saint Maries, Idaho for more than ten years before joining the Prep faculty.
Sharing the joy of making art with young people is one of her favorite things in the world! She also enjoys reading, writing, gardening, hiking, singing, dancing, and cross-country skiing.
Originally from Pierre, South Dakota, Ms. O’Connell has lived in seven different states. She currently resides in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota with her husband, two children, a cat, and about thirty fish.
