Every student takes part in our Fine Arts Program at Saint John’s Prep. Our well-rounded curriculum supports the development of appreciation and passion for fine arts that will last a lifetime.
Saint John’s Prep offers a spirited array of varsity and intramural sports. Our programs are inclusive with a strong emphasis on teamwork. Our sports teams give Prep students the opportunity to grow interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Sean Jacobson is originally from Montevideo, MN. He graduated from Saint John’s University with a BA in Instrumental Music Education and has been teaching since 2013. After teaching elementary band for 9 years, Sean came to Saint John’s Prep in 2023, where he currently directs the Middle and Upper School Bands, Middle School Choir, and Jazz Ensemble.
Outside of his work at Prep, Sean is an active performer on piano and trumpet. He serves as the collaborative pianist for the Saint John’s Boys’ Choir and plays regularly with the Amadeus Chamber Symphony, St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra, Great Theatre, and many other local and regional groups. Aside from music, Sean enjoys growing houseplants, cooking, reading, hiking, and spending time with his family and dogs.
Sean is excited to be teaching at Prep because of the incredible, creative, diverse students, the brilliant colleagues, and the beautiful campus setting.
