Benedictine Leadership Scholarship Application The Benedictine Leadership Scholarship was established in memory of Ian Lo ’19 who unexpectedly passed in 2017 after his sophomore year at Saint John’s Prep. Ian exemplified the Benedictine values, but his dedication to the values of the Saint John’s Prep community did not end there. He constantly strove for growth in the classroom, in athletics, and in his personal life all while demonstrating a strong sense of community by being a good, caring friend to those around him. The Benedictine Leadership scholarship is awarded annually to a junior at Saint John’s Prep who shows a great commitment to the values of this community just as Ian did. Funds from this scholarship will be directed toward the recipient’s senior year tuition. The following criteria shall apply in selecting recipients of the award: Applicants demonstrate a commitment to the core values of Saint John’s Prep by demonstrating leadership in the classroom, the community, and all aspects of their life. The ideal candidate has a genuine love and care for all living things, is light-hearted, approaches life with positivity and a great sense of humor.
