, of Belgrade died on Sunday, June 30, at his sister’s home in Alexandria under the care of hospice.

Kenny M. Klassen, 68, of Belgrade died on Sunday, June 30, at his sister’s home in Alexandria under the care of hospice.

Kenny was born on July 25, 1950 to Paul and Catherine (Wiechmann) Klassen. He graduated from Saint John’s Prep School in 1968. He attended Saint Cloud University.

Kenny was the owner of Americana Flooring Company. He took great pride in restoring or installing wood flooring. He was a die-hard Vikings fan and was also an avid reader of newspapers, history and fiction.

Kenny is survived by his step-daughter Michon (Scott) Mueller of Chisago City, MN; siblings: Abbot John Klassen, Saint John’s Abbey, Rita (Dan) Eveslage of Greenwald. MN; Vernon (Heather) Klassen of Lynnwood, WA; Allen (Linda) Klassen of Loveland, OH; Grace (Larry) Lambert of Alexandria, MN; grandchildren Zachary and Shayna Mueller and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his significant other, Shirley Manteufel, parents, Paul and Catherine Klassen, brothers, Jerome and Dennis.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Saint Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church, Elrosa, at 11:00 AM. Visitation one hour prior to service.

Memorials to the family are preferred for funeral expenses. Thanks to all for your acts of kindness and care for Kenny, especially in these last months. No thank you notes will be sent.
