Saint John’s Prep Congratulates Commended Students in National Merit Scholarship Program

Congratulations to Miranda Curnutt ’20, Claire Kissela ’20 and Luc Westling ’20 for being honored as Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. We are pleased to announce that all three students are being honored for their outstanding performance on the 2018 PSAT qualifying test. Miranda, Claire and Luc all placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who took the exam. About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. This is the 65th annual 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program. It was designed to identify and honor the top high school students in the United States.

Miranda is the daughter of Rosemarie and Jordan Curnutt of St. Cloud. Miranda is a member of the tennis team, National Honor Society and Student Council.

Claire is the daughter of Chad Kissela and Marcia Allard of St. Joseph. She is president of student council and a member of the National Honor Society and Cross-Country team.

Luc is the son of Sue and Craig Westling of Sartell. He is a member of the National Honor Society and Cross-Country and Track teams.
