Bob Ellenbecker Named Assistant Coach of the Year Posted on November 6, 2017 in Faculty News Saint John’s Prep is proud to congratulate Bob Ellenbecker for being named the Prairie Conference Assistant Coach of the Year for his work with the Saint John’s Prep Track Team. Mr. Ellenbecker is being recognized in particular for his work with shot put and discus athletes. Mr. Ellenbecker received his award at the annual Prairie Conference Coaches Banquet on November 1, 2017 at the Clarissa Ballroom in Clarissa, MN. Mr. Ellenbecker joined the staff of Saint John’s Prep in 1998. He teaches middle school science and physical education. He also teaches electives like outdoor skills. Besides, Track and Field, Mr. Ellenbecker also coaches Nordic Skiing and he has coached soccer and football during his time at Saint John’s Prep. He is also active in the Minnesota Special Olympics as a Polar Bear fundraiser and a volunteer coach. Mr. Ellenbecker and his wife, Colette, live in Collegeville, MN where they love to garden and experience the outdoors.
