Corinne Koffi ’17 is Named to All Section Basketball Team

Saint John’s Prep is proud to congratulate Corinne Koffi ‘17 for being named to the Prairie Conference All Section and West Subsection 6AA Girls Basketball Team. Corrine is the daughter of Ettien and Kim Koffi of St. Cloud.

Corinne has played basketball for Saint John’s Prep for four years. She’s enjoyed being a captain during the 2016-2016 season. “I enjoy basketball because of the intensity and the competitive nature of the game. My leadership skills grew exponentially in the enriching experience as a captain.”

Corinne received her honor on Tuesday evening, March 7, following the West Subsection 6AA Championship Game at Sexton Arena at Saint John’s University.

Corinne is an active senior at Saint John’s Prep who is also a captain of the swim team and serves as a peer mentor and WE Day volunteer.  Corinne is an avid linguist and speaks Spanish and French. In addition to studying Spanish at Saint John’s Prep, Corinne is also taking French at the College of Saint Benedict. She plans to continue studying languages in college. “I am planning to go to Mankato State University and major in both community health education and Spanish.”

Corinne is a member of Westwood Community Church in St. Cloud. This summer she travel to the Ivory Coast of Africa to deliver a version of the New Testament of the Bible translated by Eittien Koffi into the Anyi language. Corinne will take part in several onsite building projects. She will also help conduct a basketball camp for over 100 young people.
