Every student takes part in our Fine Arts Program at Saint John’s Prep. Our well-rounded curriculum supports the development of appreciation and passion for fine arts that will last a lifetime.
Saint John’s Prep offers a spirited array of varsity and intramural sports. Our programs are inclusive with a strong emphasis on teamwork. Our sports teams give Prep students the opportunity to grow interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Saint John’s Prep will welcome our students, faculty and staff back to campus in August! The first day of school for Saint John’s Prep is August 20, 2025.
We’re currently enrolling students for the upcoming academic year, and our Admission staff are available to connect with you via phone or Zoom to answer questions and offer you a tour of our Middle School, Upper School, residence halls, and our gorgeous campus. The academic year will begin with an opening convocation at the Saint John’s Abbey Church at 8:30am. Abbot Doug Mullin, along with Head of School Jon Mc Gee, and the entire Saint John’s Prep faculty, staff and student community will be in attendance for the ceremony. Principal Dr. Christine Glomski and Student Council President Vivian Fitch ’26 will be among the speakers at this inspirational launch to the new semester.
Parents, siblings, grandparents, and alumni are welcome to attend this very special event.
Join Saint John’s Prep alumni for a fun afternoon of community and baseball! This event will begin at the residence of John Sipe ‘61 and Eileen Myles and conclude at CHS field where the Saint Paul Saints are set to take on the Columbus Clippers.
Pregame Prep Social Before the game, John ’61 and Eileen are hosting a fun cookout at the courtyard in their building right next door to CHS Stadium in downtown Saint Paul. This pregame social will include free burgers, brews, and brats!

A Discovery Day at Saint John’s Prep is a great way for students in grades 5-11 to experience our co-ed school. You are invited to spend the day on campus with a current student and attend our innovative classes, meet our teachers, and be immersed in our community.
Coming to a Discovery Day is also a great way for parents to learn about Variable Tuition, our academic programs, go on a campus tour, learn about the Benedictine tradition, and more!

The middle school Christmas Concert is scheduled for December 7, 2025 in the Stephen B. Humphrey Theater on the campus of Saint John’s University. The middle school choir, band, and orchestra will all perform delightful Christmas carols and music. This concert will include singers and musicians in grades 6, 7, and 8.

This event is free. No tickets are needed. Guests are asked to be seated ten minutes before the performances begin.

The Saint John’s Prep Concert Choir, Concert Band, and String Orchestra present their 2025 Christmas Spectacular “The Light of the World” on Monday, December 8 at 7:00pm in the Great Hall. Admission is free. Father (formerly Abbot) John Klassen ’67 will serve as our narrator. The concert will be streamed using THIS LINK.
Families are asked to please collect a program at the door as the concert is interactive with lots of carol singing! The 7:00pm concert will feature a beautiful candlelit segment with the singing of Silent Night. Candles will be distributed at the door before the concert.

Celebrate the holidays with Saint John’s Prep! Our annual Holiday Happy Hour is a great place to reconnect with friends and teachers over the holidays. Congratulations to all of the musicians and singers who performed at the annual Christmas concert. The concert choir, concert band, jazz band, chamber choir, and orchestra presented their 2025 Christmas Spectacular “The Light of the World” on Monday, December 8 in the Great Hall.
Father (formerly Abbot) John Klassen ’67 served as our narrator. Sean Jacobson served as the band and jazz band director. Jeff Engholm directed the choirs and orchestra.
