Give to Grand Tour

Grand Tour of Nations is a party for parents, grandparents, alumni and friends to come together and support Saint John’s Prep. Proceeds from Grand Tour provide vital funding for student scholarships and programs. This fundraiser will be held on April 29, 2023 at the Gorecki Center on the campus of the College of Saint Benedict. We are excited to host a spectacular event with a delicious dinner, silent auction, live auction and giving moment. We hope you will join us on this spectacular evening to support our school and students!

This year our gala theme is the beautiful country of France! Our guests will enjoy French food, music and décor!

Thanks to your participation and generosity at the 2022 event, Grand Tour raised over $275,000 for student programs and scholarships! We hope to surpass that amount in 2023!

If you would like to be a part of the 2023 event’s success, contact Jill Pauly, Director of Communications and Events via email jpauly@sjprep.net or Sara Gabrielson, Annual Giving Manager, at sgabriels001@sjprep.net.

Donate an Item or Become a Sponsor

You can ensure the success of Grand Tour of Nations by contributing to the silent or live auction. Take a look at our wishlist for donation ideas. If you aren’t sure what to donate, you could contribute money and our volunteers will create a basket in your name. You can drop items off at school or request that a volunteer picks it up. Have sports tickets, concert tickets or other experiences? Our volunteers would love to offer them in the live or silent auction! Contact Jill Pauly for further details.

Sponsors are such an integral part of Grand Tour of Nations. Your support directly impacts the educational experience of our students by providing scholarship and programming funding.
We are excited to offer these sponsorship opportunities.
For business owners, advertising through Grand Tour can really help get the word out to potential clients. We hope you will consider becoming a sponsor!

The Story

Based on true events, That’s Just the Way It Is a biographical musical written by Brandon Anderson, Theatre Director at Saint John’s Preparatory School, with music composed by SJP senior Kai Kang. The story follows one man’s journey of self-discovery as he searches for acceptance of his rare multi-system genetic disease, Tuberous Sclerosis.

The show is an invitation for audiences to observe the constraints of physical disabilities and through the magic of theatre look deeper into the consciousness of a person. By tearing down the walls of shame, humiliation, and indignity we witness the heartfelt touching tale of overcoming one of life’s most challenging obstacles.

This production will be staged at Saint John’s Prep in the Weber Center. Parking is available in front of the school.
