Glenn Kirsch ’50

Glenn passed away at the age of 88, on December 7, 2020, one day before his 64th wedding anniversary to his bride Shirley Viola Kirsch. He was born on October 18, 1932 in Victoria, MN.

Glenn is survived by wife Shirley (Schwalbe) of Blaine; children Ron (Carmen) Kirsch of Maple Grove, Cindy (Tom) Carlson of Coon Rapids, Dan (Shelly) Kirsch of Oak Grove and Nancy (Dave) Trossen of Maple Grove; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sister LaJune; brothers Jerry and Robert; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant sons James and Joseph; parents Erwin Anton Kirsch and Lenore Grace Kirsch (Poppler); sister Virginia; brothers Ruben, Earl, Larry and David; and infant siblings Lowell and Richard.

Glenn loved life and nothing was more important to him than his family. He had a true passion for the simple things in life, especially camping, canoeing, and biking. A private family mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11am at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 707 89th Ave. N., Blaine. No visitation. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
