Jaedyn Nydeen ’22 Named to All-State Team

Johnnie Soccer Player Receives State Recognition

Jaedyn Nydeen ’22 has been named to the Class A girls’ soccer all-state second team. All-state award winners were recognized at a St. Paul banquet on Oct. 24th along with those teams who qualified for the state tournament. Jaedyn is the daughter of Lance and Pam Nydeen of St. Joseph, MN. She is the sister of Taylor ’17 and Reid ’19.

Jaedyn, a senior defender for Saint John’s Prep, is a six time letter-winner for the Johnnies and three-time all-conference player in the Granite Ridge Conference.

Jaedyn has excellent tackling instincts, great touch, and a powerful leadership presence on the field. She helped lead the 2021 Johnnies to a 9-6-1 record and a #1 seed in section 8A. Jaedyn played every minute of every game at central defense this season, scoring 4 goals and three assists in 2021, and accumulating 14 goals and 13 assists during her career.

Jaedyn joins Johnnie Alumni Annie Haws Becker ’05, Kenzie Novak ’08 and Clare Culligan ’13 as the fourth girls’ all-state player from Saint John’s Prep.
