Prep Senior Earns 2nd Highest MN Score on National German Exam Posted on February 20, 2019 in Press Releases, Student News Saint John’s Prep is proud to announce the achievements of our students in the National German Exam, including Caitlin Skahen ’19 who earned the second highest score in Minnesota and Sam Mortenson ’20 who earned the sixth highest score in the state. Caitlin Skahen ’19 Sam Mortenson ’20 Caitlin is the daughter of Jennifer and Sean Skahen of St. Joseph. Sam is the daughter of Rebecca Dillingham of St. Cloud. The exam taken yearly by nearly 26,000 students nationwide and by over 600 students from Minnesota. The exam tests the reading and listening components and skills as well as grammatical structures. German at Saint John’s Prep is taught by Teacher Matt Beck. Saint John’s Prep Results Award winners are determined based on performance compared to other students taking the exam, and gold, silver, bronze, and achievement awards are given.
