SJP Fall Semester Acts of Generosity

Campus Ministry Update
Thank you for your generosity!

The members of the Saint John’s Prep community have demonstrated their commitment to the Benedictine value of respect for persons and community living through their generous giving to various causes at our school masses this fall:

  • September: Students and staff donated $300 for the Islamic Center of St. Cloud to repair damages stemming from vandalism.
  • November: Students and staff donated $150 to support the work of the Pregnancy Resource Center in advocating for local pregnant women to have the resources they need.
  • December: Students and staff donated $175 to support the work of Hands Across the World Minnesota in an effort to support their work to provide educational and legal aid to refugees and newcomers in Central Minnesota.

In November a crew of Saint John’s Prep students, parents and teachers volunteered at the Kids Fighting Hunger “We are Thankful” event in St. Cloud. The Prep volunteers packaged oatmeal for food shelves in Central Minnesota as well as rice food packages for distribution around the world.

We look forward to continuing these opportunities to give and make a difference in the community throughout the spring semester as well.
